Basic Figures on the  HDPE-Plant

  • The Plant was built in 1990
Total capacity 175 kt/y (Slurry technology)
  • Space required:  approx. 14.000 m², mainly outdoor (without safety distances)
  • Personnel needed:  20 people, divided in 4 shifts + 2 Engineers and 1 supervisor
  • Quantity of raw material of equivalent production: approx. 1,011 tons / ton final product
Low pressure and low temperature process (app. 10 bar/70°C)
The polyethylene polymerization plant is based on a slurry reactor technology.
Operability
  • during the year 2013 – 98,7 %
Reliability
  • during the year 2013 – 99,7 %
Total Prime Grade:
  • depending on product mix
  • in average about 98,1 % during last 5 years

HDPE is defined by a density of 0.935 – 0.965 g/cm³. It has a linear molecular structure and it is highly crystalline.

The values for this line are:

MFR* 5 kg:          0,2 – 0,3 (up to 0,8)
MFR* 2.16 kg:    0,6 -31
,0

Density range on this line:    0,935- 0,965 g/cm³

* melt flow index
